GREEN MAN CHRISTMAS FESTIVE MENU 2018

Available 1st – 22rd December 2018

We believe there is something truly wonderful about the magical feeling that surrounds Christmas – with tantalizing smells of Roast Turkey, Christmas Pud and Mulled Wine being enjoyed by a crackling log fire with family and friends. For us there is no better season than Christmas where we enjoy wonderful food, fine wine and a huge sprinkling of fun and laughter.

With that in mind we would very much like to welcome you to The Green Man this December where we believe we shine at this time of year. Our reputation for great food is complemented by our charming service and Festive atmosphere, making The Green Man the perfect place this December

Our Christmas Festive menu is served lunch and dinner Tuesday through to Friday and is available from Friday 1stDecember through to Friday 22ndDecember 2018. (please note this menu is NOT available on the evenings of our Dinner Dances) Our Christmas menu is priced at £28.00 for 2 courses and £33.00 for 3 courses and is inclusive of crackers, balloons and novelties and VAT at the current rate of 20%.  However, please note that for parties of 8 and over there is an optional 10% service charge added to the total bill.

STARTERS

Smoked Haddock, Lightly Boiled Quail Egg, White Wine Cream Sauce enhanced with touch of Curry and finished with Puff Pastry Fleuron

Chicken and Duck Liver Pate enhanced with Redcurrant and touch of Cream. Served with Rosette of Finest Parma Ham, Green Man Balsamic Pickled Onions and Sun Blush Tomatoes.

Or
“Green Man Smoked Salmon Parcel”

Nick’s own Smoked Salmon – and yes he really does smoke it in house, Plump Norwegian Prawns bound in a classic Marie Rose Mayo. Served with an Avocado & Mixed Leaf Salad

Or
Salad of Oven roasted Aubergine, Sun-dried Tomato, Rocket, Orange, Harissa, Pomegranate and Molasses. Garnished with Coriander, Mint and Croutons

Homemade Wild Mushroom Soup, Brunoise Potato and Truffle Oil

MAIN COURSES

Traditional Bronze Roast Turkey Breast with Homemade Chestnut, Mushroom and Sausage meat stuffing. Served with Pigs in Blanket, Homemade Cranberry Sauce and Rich Gravy

Finest 28 day Dry Aged “Highlands” Fillet Steak served with Roasted Shallots, Garlic,

Chestnut Mushroom,  Black Peppercorn and Red Wine Sauce

Served RARE, MEDIUM OR WELL DONE ONLY
(Supplement charge of £4.50 per person)

Or
“Cherry Orchard” Crispy Belly of Pork infused with Honey Bee Cider and presented with a Macintosh Fresh Apple Sauce and a Rich Garlic, Tarragon and Cep Mushroom Cream Sauce

All the above main courses are served with Roast and Panache of Vegetables

Finest Oven Baked Fillet of Seabass with Lime and Coriander Crumb, Braised Leeks, New Potatoes, Tomato and Red Pepper infused White Wine Cream Sauce

Green Man Thai Green Curry with Sweet Potato, Green Beans, Sugar Snap Peas and Cherry Tomato enhanced with Ginger and Coriander. Served with Jasmine Rice (V)
